Kauai Trip Part 3, after the Helicopter

We decided to see some of the waterfalls and sights you can see by car around Kapaa on the east coast:

Here is a river and a river cruise:

We really loved this old police car with it's werewolf surfer:

We decided to take a catamaran snorkeling cruise to Niihua, the next island west of Kauai.  We started by cruising past the Na Pali Coast, the surf was too rough to snorkel here:

Someone did take our picture:

Here is our view of the small island of Lehua:

I don't have the underwater pictures I took while snorkeling since used a disposable film camera and the pictures are in storage.  Here are pictures around Lehua and Niihau:

You can see the surf was a bit rough and it affected Bill's stomach.  But we survived.  We had time after the cruise to do some sight seeing of Fort Elizabeth (no decent pictures), the old Russian fort, and some beaches like this one:

The place we were staying was quite nice, here are some pictures before we left.  We did snorkel right off the beach early in our stay, but the water got too rough so they closed it for swimming and snorkeling:

The best restaurant on Kauai, and the only one that is memorable for us, is Da'li Deli in Koloa.

We flew back to Washington State, where it was cold.
