We drove straight to the Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde National Park since we wanted to make sure we were early enough for a tour. We ran into Jim Philips at the ticket booth, Ann Philips was on the tour and Jim had decided his health was not up to it. We had last seen Jim and Ann in Moab and knew we would see them again in Farmington, New Mexico.
