In the past we had not really toured close to Banff itself, just using it as a place to shop and eat in restaurants. We drove up to the Banff Hot Springs Hotel and there was no good place to park and not much to see so we went up the Tunnel Mountain Drive to the viewpoint where we saw this sign:

We also looked at the big public campground in Banff, Tunnel Mountain. Nice views but the campsites looked smaller than in Lake Louise.
