The Apple Butter Festival running the 13th through 15th:

You have to keep it moving so the butter doesn't burn.  It takes all day.

The apple butter made the day before, the 13th, was available for sale at $12 a quart.  We tried it and it was very good but couldn't figure out what we would do with a quart so we did not buy some.

A tribute to the CCC "boys" who built the Skyline Drive and much of the park during the Great Depression.

Then the rains came so we headed back to the campground after driving about 67 miles of the 105 mile Skyline Drive.  The rains messed up the views.
