We left Moab on April 17th and headed to the Salt Lake City area. After 209 miles we were camped at Mountain Shadows RV and Mobile Home Park in Draper, Utah.
Here are the mountains:
We headed out and restocked at Costco.
April 18th the plan was a long drive to Winnemucca, Nevada but when Bill checked the extended weather forecast we headed to the Boise, Idaho area instead. A cold front was coming and Nevada and Bend, Oregon were supposed to be cold. We still had a long drive of 377 miles to Garrity RV Park in Nampa, Idaho. It was about 80 degrees here.
April 19th we drove 239 miles to Pioneer RV Park in Hermiston, OR. Our last stay here was in September 2002.
We stayed put for two nights as the cold front came through on the 20th. We did go out and check out Hermiston and found it has grown since our last visit. We were back in what we considered our home area. We used to live only about a 45 minute drive from here.
