Every summer Diane's grandmother's family on her father's side has a family reunion, which they call the Family Gathering. It takes place in late July or early August at Diane's aunt's and grandmother's house. The houses are next to each other and are on the water in Poulsbo, Washington. Here is the view from the yard:
