We headed to the small town of Blue Diamond in the afternoon after finishing with Hoover Dam, our mail was at the post office. We had time to see the Red Rock Canyon Recreation Area and drove there for a visit. We didn't see any wild burros, but we did see some nice rock colors:
This next picture shows people on the rock, the detailed picture shows they have a dog with them. A minute later the dog lost his footing and they had to retrieve him out of the crevase:

It was getting late in the day:
It got too dark and cool to stay, so we drove back into the Las Vegas traffic knowing there was more to do in Vegas than gamble.
