January 1 found us continuing our stay at Goldcoaster RV Resort in Florida City for a couple more nights.
We had scheduled a snorkel trip in Biscayne National Park for this day. There is a visitors center and there is some stuff to see on shore, but most of the park is out in the water. Here are some fish by the visitors center.
Looking north you can see the high rise buildings. If Biscayne National Park didn't exist, it would look like that.
More fish close to shore.

It was nice out there on the way out, but the water was in the 70s so we were glad we paid to have wet suits:
These pictures were taken underwater using a disposable underwater camera. We had them make a Kodak Picture CD along with the prints:
It clouded over and cooled off on the way back to shore. We all got cold. The hot tub at the campground was a really nice way to warm up. What a way to spend our first New Year's day as full-timers.
