June 1 to 4, 2004 - Idaho

We left Springville, UT and headed to Idaho on June 1st.  We stopped for our first diesel fill-up on the way, it looks like our comfortable range is 800 to 900 miles.  We stopped at Travel Stop 216 in Declo, ID, a Passport America campground we stopped at before in September 2002.   We had driven 220 miles and again we had to change campsites due to problems at this campground.  We are going to try to avoid this place in the future.  Here is our final campsite, which had a long sewer run:

June 2nd we drove 70 miles to a much nicer Passport America Campground, High Adventure River Tours in Hagerman, ID.  It was a nice place and we didn't mind it being water and electric for our three night stay:

It was early in the day so we drove the car back to Twin Falls for sightseeing and shopping.

June 3rd we headed up to Ketchum/Sun Valley to see what the fuss was about.  We had lunch in Ketchum and headed into Sun Valley and couldn't see much that mattered so we decided to the take the other "highway" out of town.  Soon it became gravel but the view was nice:

Then we saw the snow and turned around:

This might have been a state highway, but it wasn't a paved one.

We didn't find anything of interest in Sun Valley so we stopped at the public art on the way back to Hagerman:

The public art was fun.
