Anhinga Trail Part 1

This mangrove shows why it is the "Anhinga Trail", with the Anhingas on it.  Here is an Anhinga in the water:

There were lots of gators:

The second one here has a fish by the tail, we watched him (?) jerk his head fast and put the whole fish in his mouth a minute later:

The first gator seems to be enjoying the flowers and sun and here are two in the water:

This sign talks about exotic fish, there is also a problem with exotic plants and other animals, including Burmese Pythons:

We also managed to get a shot of an American Bittern and Black Vulture:

And a good one of two Purple Gallinules, voted the most beautiful bird of the Everglades:
