June 27, 2006 - Drive from Glennallen to Valdez, AK

The drive from Glennallen to Valdez is supposed to be quite scenic, but the clouds were not cooperating.  In good weather the mountains are mirrored in this lake, Willow Lake, but not today where we can barely tell Mt Drum is in the distance:

This stop lets us see the oil pipeline in the distance:

As we went south we were finally able to see some mountains, this shot is thru the windshield:

We stopped at the Worthington Glacier

After leaving Worthington Glacier we drove over Thompson Pass and found ourselves looking at beautiful scenery through the windshield:

We again were able to stop and take some pictures of the snow on the mountains:

At the bottom of the pass are some waterfalls, this is called "Bridal Veil Falls":

Then we drove into Valdez.
