June 21, 2006 - White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad Part 2

The train about 15 minutes ahead of us is visible as we come down:

Wow.

Looking back where we came from:

A waterfall goes right under the highway:

U.S. Customs and a sign maintained for many years thanking someone who helped young people explore the area:

We can see Skagway even better now, and all four large cruise ships are visible:

The Skagway River, which has class six rapids on it:

We stopped to pick up hikers and Bill was able to get a good shot of these columbines:

We didn't take any pictures of the last bit as we went into Skagway itself.
