September 17, 2007 - Grayline Tour BC, Part 1

We needed to be at the entrance of the campground at 6:45AM to catch the shuttle bus to Union Station for our 8AM tour.  That is early for us. 

This is the first sight we saw on our tour bus, the Postal Museum, which is right next to Union Station.

We stopped at the line for the Capitol Tour to get our tickets and our group time was 9:45AM.  If we would have been later the bus driver would have taken us for a short tour before our time.  We were sent to a neighboring office building for coffee and rest rooms.  We had to go through security to get into the building.  The building had interesting statues at the entrance:

We went back for our tour of the Capitol Building.  Here is our first glimpse of the building:
