October 30, 2009 - Brookgreen Gardens, Day 1, Part 2

One of the indoor galleries had a "Wild West" display until the end of October.  This piece is titled "Seventy Winters".

The wildlife doesn't mind the sculptures.

Lots of variety.

Plus some nice poetry.

These alligators are statues by Anne Hyatt Hutchinson and many think they are real.

More of Anne Hyatt Hutchinson's work.

Butterflies and blooms abound.

Another copy of this bronze was in Kirkland, WA for a while.

We took many, many more photos of the gardens, the statues and the poetry.  This is a small sample.

We realized we did not have time to see it all in one day and hoped the weather would cooperate the next day for us to come again.

On the way out we saw this wild turkey on the grounds.
