March 24 to 28, 2011 - Birds at Wilderness Lakes

Being in a different part of Wilderness Lakes we could watch wading birds. These are Black-necked Stilts.

American Avocets.

A Great Egret and a group of ducks.

Black-crowned Night Heron.

Great Blue Heron.

A white-faced ibis was hanging around one day.  This area is in its casual range but we haven't seen one in California before, only New Mexico.

There were also plenty of geese and coots around as always.
