November 2, 2003 - Fort Pulaski National Monument

We had time to visit Fort Pulaski National Monument after visiting Tybee Island.

Here is why Fort Pulaski is historic, it was where rifled cannon was first used and used very successfully:

We were lucky to witness some training on firing the cannon:

Fort Pulaski was well worth visiting.
