October 6, 2007 - River Street and Downtown Savannah, Part 2

After a nice lunch at the Shrimp Factory we went to see more of the festival, Oktoberfest on the River:

The rains came and went as we toured.  Here is the Waving Girl statue in the rain:

Views of the Savannah River:

The convention center:

Arts and crafts booths:

Music:

These people were reapplying their silver makeup:

We decided that it was not as much fun to hang out in Savannah with the rain coming down so we headed into town to get some coffee and coffee beans at the Savannah Coffee Roasters.  We had bought their beans in 2003 and liked them.

On the way we noticed this place:

Lady and Sons, Paula Deen's restaurant:

While getting our coffee, the rain opened up and poured hard so we lingered at the coffee shop.  When the rain broke, we headed for the car.

This is an example of the random public art in downtown:

We wish the rain would have held off so we would have felt like lingering the rest of the day and had dinner in town.
