June 3 to 6, 2010 - Enumclaw, WA

We left Thunderbird on June 3rd and drove 64 miles to our friends' Mike and Michelle's house in Enumclaw.  Our speedometer worked the entire trip.

With Mike's help we got hooked up to electricity and were camped for a few days.

The last time we had seen them was in May 2005.   Michelle has been having health challenges so their change of address and phone numbers did not get forwarded to us when they moved.   Their two children are older now and lots of fun.

Friday evening the four of us went out to the Rainier Bar and Grill in Enumclaw for dinner, which was great.

Here is Yoshi, their Schipperke.

Their cat Ayla.

June 5th was nice and sunny so Mike took one child to one soccer game and we accompanied Michelle to the other's soccer game where we sat in the car and watched.

Later on Mount Rainier made an appearance.

Later by sunset it was even more visible.

Our last morning we went to the Black Diamond Bakery in Black Diamond for breakfast.

We had a great visit and know we are welcome to come back.  We plan on it.

(Postscript: Unfortunately Michelle died in July so we were very glad we had a chance to see her one last time.)
