May 9 to 24, 2011 - Monroe, WA

We left Rochester on May 9th and drove 114 miles to LTR Thunderbird in Monroe, WA.  Our last stay here was in May 2010 and we had the same campsite.

Most years we have started our annual doctor visits at Tall Chief in Fall City, but the campground was sold and is now overpriced for its features.  Luckily we upgraded and can now stay up to 3 weeks at Thunderbird.

Liz and Ed found us after losing touch for many years and we got together.  Here we are at their house.

We also had dinner at Dan and Betsy's and Peg and Jim's during our stay.

We had a busy time with doctors including adding one in Mukilteo.  Here are some photos from the park by the Mukilteo ferry dock before an appointment.

Ferries going both ways.

Nice iris.

Rhododendrons.

Columbine.

Evita had been losing weight and it turns out she has blood in her urine so we will be getting her an ultrasound in Eugene, OR since our vet does not have the equipment.

While in the area we added both Marimba in Everett and Bai Tong in Redmond (dinner with Ron) to our restaurant list.  We also revisited Pogacha, Gyroworld, Shamiana, Panera Bread, Minami Teriyaki, Malay Satay (lunch with Bill), Tombo's Teriyaki, and Clay Pit (lunch with Brick).

Now we are heading back to Eugene to complete our installations and to get the damage fixed to the passenger side of the motorhome.
