July 20 to August 2, 2011 - Monroe, WA

July 20th we drove 119 miles from Poulsbo to Thunderbird in Monroe, WA.  Our last stay was in May.  This time we got a full hookup campsite down closer to the road.

Notice the long sewer run.

Dan and Jenny were also staying at Thunderbird when we got there.  One day the four of us had dinner at Eddie's Trackside in Monroe and all of us plan on going back since we liked it.

July 28th we decided to play tourist in Seattle.  We had not done that since May 2005.

July 30th we tried the trail system at Thunderbird.

Up the hill we went.

The top.

There is a trail down.

Then this trail.

A bit steep.

Diane grabbing branches as hand holds.

The bottom.

We probably won't take the trails again.  They were not that long but were a bit steep so they felt a bit dangerous for us.

While we were in the area we also ate at Red Robin, Arnie's in Mukilteo (with Chris), Sol Food in Everett, Pasion Tequila in Bothell (once with Kelley and another time with Arlene and Larry), Gyroworld in Redmond, Los Potrillos in Everett and Clay Pit in Mill Creek.

Now we are heading back to Rochester.
