We left Blaine on August 4th and drove 60 miles to TT La Conner in La Conner, WA. Our last stay here was in August 2005.
Since we did not need to use a satellite dish we chose a full hookup campsite in the woods.
There was no Verizon Wireless signal at our campsite, but AT&T does work here. Luckily we have an AT&T wireless hotspot and can have internet.
Bill walked around and spied this Great Blue Heron by the beach.
Then we headed to Marysville to see John. We got to meet Mikka, who makes friends easily.
After visiting a while we went with John to dinner at Bob's Burgers and Brew. Then we headed home.
The next day, the 5th, Bill took some more photos of the area around the campground.
Then we headed into Anacortes and took in some of the views.

Dan and Jenny came in this day and came over for a visit. Jenny showed Evita a cat game on her iPad.

After that the four of us headed into Anacortes for dinner, thinking of having Thai. The Thai restaurant was closed that day of the week so we tried Bob's Chowder and BBQ Salmon and it was a real find, very good and very reasonably priced seafood.
The next day the four of us went into La Conner proper. While Diane and Jenny shopped, Bill and Dan went geocaching and even got some help from some local geocachers. For dinner we went back to Anacortes to try the Thai restaurant, Naung Mai Thai Kitchen, which was very good.
It was great to spend a couple days with Dan and Jenny.
Now we are heading back to the Olympia area to spend more time with Bill's mother.
