April 1, 2008 - Blue Ridge Parkway to Cherokee, Part 1

It might be April Fools Day but we did not feel like fools seeing the last miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. 

We drove to the rest area right by the US23/Blue Ridge Parkway intersection.  They had daffodils blooming, something we missed from our house.

Then we connected to the parkway heading west.   This first part of the parkway we traveled on a foggy October 3, 2007 going east.  Not as much fog this day:

Wow, a waterfall.

The Waterrock Knob Visitors Center was closed but even with the fog we could see more than in October.
