November 9 to 15, 2012 - Tucson, AZ

It was much cooler and breezy when we left Casa Grande on November 9th.  Breezy turned to windy so it was a tiring 91 mile drive to Pima Fairgrounds in Tucson, AZ.  Here is our campsite for a week.

Our view (West):

After setting up we went out to run errands and ended up having dinner at El Guero Canelo so Bill could try a Sonoran Hot Dog.  Unfortunately Bill is not a regular hot dog fan so he found the Sonoran version just OK.

The next day we went to see Barb and Joe's new house and then had lunch at a local place, Tiny's.  We had not seen Barb and Joe since we were camped in November 2010 in Tucson.

We had a couple windy and cool days so we did not play tourist until the 13th.

November 13th we spent the day in Saguaro National Park, Rincon Mountain District.  Our last visit was in 2004.

November 14th we followed a relative's advice and went to Sabino Canyon National Recreation Area in the afternoon.

After Sabino Canyon we tried Mi Nindito for dinner and it was good.

November 15th we went to Tohono Chul Park in Tucson.

Now we are moving a few miles down the road to a more centrally located campground with better cell phone reception and hopefully less wind.
