On February 1st we broke camp between rain showers, drove north with periods of rain, clouds, showers, and drizzle and after 248 miles we were camped at Wilderness RV Park Estates where we set up between rains. Our last stay here was in March 2008. This time we were in the new section with larger sites.
Someone before us put the tracks in the grass.
Bill and Helen were here along with Henry and Anne, and Dean and Janice. We had last seen Bill and Helen in early January and met the others here.
On February 2nd we all went to dinner at the local Sonny's BBQ.
February 3rd we drove east to visit Blue Springs State Park, about the best place to see manatees in winter. On the way we stopped at the Friendly's in DeLand and true to form, this Friendly's had lousy service but the food was decent. Our last stop at a Friendly's was in Port St. Lucie and it was quite good, but we find that for each good Friendly's there is one that is not so good. After lunch we drove to Blue Springs State Park, which was about 57 miles from our campsite.

February 4th we had the motorhome washed and waxed by a couple that does this for a living. It looks great. They were Equipt Cleaners who work in Central Florida in the winter, (407)361-8030.
February 5th, Friday, Evita got her bath and we headed down to The Villages to explore and have lunch. We ended up at Siam Orchid for lunch, a quite nice Thai restaurant. By the time lunch was over it started to rain and it rained much of the rest of the day.
February 6th was a nice day. We enjoyed watching this eastern bluebird challenge his reflection on our neighbor's motorhome.
Then Bill and Helen picked us up and we headed for the Market of Marion to get fresh produce.
After that we all went to Applebee's for lunch.
The 7th was the big game which we paid very little attention to, but others were busy at both clubhouses in the campground with parties.
